The Modern Roost » A Place where Chicks Gather. D.I.Y, Photography, Cooking, Hair & Make-up, Design, and FUN!

I am not a PATIENT LAUNDRYPERSON!

But I like to have clean/spot-free clothes-

(Doesn’t happen to often, I am a Grandma what more can I say)

I am always on the look out for simple ways to remove stains. The other day someone gave me a recipe for THE ULTIMATE STAIN REMOVER.

I had to give it a try!

The Ultimate Stain Remover-

Stain Remover- The Modern RoostPINTHIS POSTMix together

1 teaspoon Blue Dawn dishwashing soap

3-4 Tablespoons Hydrogen Peroxide

2 Tablespoons Baking Soda

Scrub onto the stain using a hard bristle toothbrush or scrubbing brush

Let it sit on the stain for a few minutes

Wash on your normal cycle

I experimented with 4 tough stains:

Stains

1-Ketchup

2-Mustard

3-Oil

4-Berries

Here is what I found out-

Ketchup- GONE

Mustard- GONE

Oil- MOSTLY GONE

Berries-GONE

Hello Roosters! It’s been wayyyyyyyy too long since I’ve posted something. My bad… I’m the literal worst! Life has been busy with school almost being over, and the family moving out here, and my brother Kelly returning from his Mission. But that’s really no excuse. I still love you guys with all my heart and soul. So today, to make it up to you guys, I am posting a delicious treat… Chocolate Whoopie Pie with Coconut Cream Cheese Frosting… And. Here. We. Go.

What You Need:

2 packages of chocolate cake mix

2/3 c. oil

4 eggs

2 cans of cream cheese frosting

unsweetened coconut flakes

What To Do:

 1.  Mix the 2 Boxes of Chocolate Cake Mix, 4 eggs, and 2/3 cups of oil.

 2. Preheat the oven to 350. Make sure to grease up your cookie sheets, or how we do it in our Home, parchment paper on cookie sheets (easy clean up).

IMG_9039PINTHIS POST

3. Roll the Cake mix into little balls (or larger ones if you want to make a few big cookies). Place the balls on the cookie sheet (I fit about 9 small balls, and 6 large, choose your preference :)).

4. You will bake these little babies for 8 minutes (the more soft the cookie, the better).

5. Let the cookies cool. While this is happening you can mix the frosting with the coconut flakes, if you so desire. Once the cookies are cooled down, take one cookie, frost it up (the more frosting the better), and find a cookie partner to go with it. Then continue with this process until all the cookies have a match!

6. ENJOY… with a glass of milk. Or share with your Main Squeeze.
